A Melting Pot Adventure

Hello Friends!

In 2018, I had the opportunity to meet some awesome scrappy friends during two crafty retreats. The first retreat, we decided to do the Melting Pot. Now, I have been to one before but it was in the Midwest and cheese is different. The Cheese in the Midwest has a different taste in the south! I personally was excited for dessert fondue!! If anyone doesn't know about the Melting Pot, it where you get fondue with different course meals. We did three course meal that included cheese, broth and chocolate! It was just great!

I decided to scale down my layouts for my crafty retreats to 8 1/2 by 11. This is the third project I am wanting to finish up from 2018. I think I got like 5 more layouts to do, so I am able to start working on the photos from the November retreat. I have kit from The Secret Not Secret Kit Club that consisted of Dear Lizzy's Stay Colorful collection.

On the Crafty Maven Getaway, the theme I picked was Mulitphoto Love. I added three photos with big journaling section for this layout. While I struggle with a grid layout, I found that doing this smaller size of a layout, I have an easier time doing a grid. I did little sewing the show the grid just little more.

The favorite part of this layout is the Sprinkle Acetate paper from Amy Tan, and I love how it is my background. That is all I needed. I did do a bunch of layering and rounded this layout out with my journaling and all the little goodies of embellishments.

Make sure you go check out full layout, process video and the Crafty Maven Getaway!!!
