Live in the Moment

Hello Scrappy Friends!

I wanted to use the Heart Happy Collection from Close To My Heart and show that yes, you can use this for the love something instead using it for Valentine's Day or you know, that lovey dovey layout with your significant other. I happened to remember my photo I took with my new favorite coffee cup.

I decided to use this collection and the photo for my design team, The Crafty Maven Getaway, as an Art Party and Sketch It Themes. I found this sketch on Pinterest.

It has mixed media and paper; I just love how it looks. I got out my favorite colors for this collection, Sapphire, Raspberry, Sugar Plum, and Sea Glass. It worked wonderful! While this sketch may look complex with possible of it being hard to make a layout with it; it was pretty easy to do. I decided to do little mixed media with the Sugar Plum reinker refill with little matte and used on the layout.

Look at the Stenciling!

Once the little of the mixed media dried and I finished the rest of the stenciling, I started the papers for the part of the Sketch. I took few strips no wider than 2 inches and put them together, to put them behind the photo.

I started to finish the layout with the Heart Happy Embellishments and decided my title is gonna be what is in the photo called "Live in the Moment". Check out the full layout and process video!
